I have had two life long friends from the dog world. When I get over my animal dander allergies, I'd love to learn more about the world of cats and other furry friends.
As I have overhauled my family diet, I wonder about the diet of our furry friends. Many of them are so ingrained in the family unit some are like having another child or only child in the home.
I believe these pampered pets, deserve pampering. Pampering that allows for their best interests - their best health and well being.
There are so many products on the market today for animals that it's hard to know what is healthy, safe and good for them. Unfortunately, most of the industry is marketing to your ideals and not reality. So, products are made cute, fun and cheap. Many not made with best interest of the health and well being of the animal. Not long ago we had a massive recall on dog foods. Unsafe chemicals were found, an industry norm, but they were very harmful to animals. Many toys and accessories are made of chemicals and substances that are not good for and sometime harmful to animals. For instance, the tennis ball. A dog can chew this up easily, the rubber fibers pull away like little rubber bands and clog up their intestinal track.
Well, enough of the why's we should take more care in the care of our animal friends. Here are a few websites and books that will get you well on your way to a happy, healthy pet and keep your pocket book healthier too.
