There are so many products and systems out there to choose from, which one do you choose?
I, for one, have been searching for years. It should be simple, right? It hasn't been.
I knew your basic carbon filter was great at getting rid of most of the nasty stuff from tap water. You can easily find these at any store. There are Brita and Pur water filtration units that do this for you in any size you'd like. And, at a great price. There really is no need to spend a whole lot of money here.
Then I learned about acid vs. alkaline in water. An acid state creates more acidity in your body creating a breeding ground for bacteria, viruses, etc. Not good. An alkaline state creates balance and cleanliness, cleaning out bad bacteria, viruses, etc. from the body.
I had a friend come over last week to test different sources of water I had around the house. Yellow results meant acid. Blue meant alkaline.
Bottled water was yellow/acidic. Why? The chemicals from the plastic was leaching into the water.
Tap water was blue/green.
Tap water filtered through a carbon filter was still blue/green. Which is to be expected. Carbon filters clean the tap water but are not designed to alkalize the water just clean it.
Next, was a gallon of water treated with one drop of MMS (details below). This one was blue.
Finally, a gallon of water treated with Prill beads (details below). It came up a brilliant deep blue.
There are many machines out there on the market to clean and alkalize your water. The Kangen machine is the king in this market. It will also run you about $4000 to $5000 or more. There are other machines that do just as well for about $1200-$1800. But, after my testing last week, I am fully satisfied with the products I already have.
So, want to know what's working in my house now?
1) I have a carbon filter on the water line coming into my house.
2) I have a carbon filter on a tap at my kitchen sink. So, this one outlet gets doubly cleaned.
3) I fill two, one gallon glass jars with the double carbon filtered water from the tap at my sink. One gets treated with 1-2 drops of MMS and the other has the Prill beads sitting at the bottom of the jar in their cute little mesh bag.
Want to know how much this costs me?
1) The carbon filters are anywhere from $10-20 and are changed out every 6 months. You could up it to every 3 months if you like.
2) The MMS is $20 for a 4 fl.oz. bottle. Remember, you are only using 1 drop per gallon of water, 2 if you want, but one drop does it.
3) The Prill beads are $20 . This is a one time purchase as they will last indefinately.

One more thing, Don't Forget Your Shower. A shower filter is a must too. They are easy to install and do wonders for your skin's health. They are easy to find at your local hardware store like Lowe's, Home Depot, etc. It shouldn't cost more than $50. If you have hard water and don't like slimey softened water, these shower filters are perfect. It's like heaven and your dry skin will thank you and you may find that you don't need to use much, if at all, hair conditioner.
